Founder of Scanmarket relocates to Atlanta

Scanmarket has decided to strengthen their presence on the American market with the relocation of founder Ole P. Nielsen.

Since 2005 one of the Scanmarket founders Ole P. Nielsen has lived in Hamburg, Germany. Ole worked out of the Hamburg office with the objective to build up the German market for Scanmarket's eSourcing products.

Once a week Ole was to be found at the Scanmarket HQ in Denmark, where he participated in the further development of the Scanmarket system in cooperation with the IT Department.

However as per August 2008, Scanmarket has decided to strengthen their presence on the American market. Ole P. Nielsen was selected for the job because of his skills and because of his previous experience in building up new markets, and he was not hesitatant upon the request to relocate to Atlanta: "The American Dream and I go way back hand in hand. I think this challenge is just what the doctor ordered for both myself and Scanmarket. I am looking very much forward to start the American way of doing business, and I know that Scanmarket's eSourcing tools fits this way of thinking perfectly."

Present on the American market since 2004 

Scanmarket has been offering our products to the American market since 2004, but mainly operating through selected strategic partners. "We will still maintain our partnerships, and with Ole's relocation we intend to enhance the Scanmarket philosophy on the American market and utilize the possibility of getting pure and unbiased market feedback to our HQ" says CEO Betina Nygaard.
